GAS DETECTION FOR CARGO PUMP ROOM

The sequential gas sampling system is a gas-sampling unit designed to detect and provide alarms for the presence of flammable (and if required) hydrogen sulphide gases within the cargo pump room.

It complies with SOLAS Chapter II – 2 Regulation 5.10.1 'Protection of cargo pump-rooms'. This is a mandatory regulation which is applicable all types of tankers that carry cargoes with a flashpoint of below 60°C. Alarms are typically set at 10% LEL but our system has the stability and accuracy to allow for much lower setting as required.
