GAS DETECTION SYSTEM FOR BALLAST TANKS AND VOID SPACES
The sequential gas sampling system is a multi point gas-sampling unit designed to detect and provide alarms for the presence of flammable and hydrogen sulphide gases within the water ballast tanks and void spaces.
A gas sample is extracted from each sampling point and is analysed by one high quality, type approved sensor for each gas type. The system is designed to give an audible and visual early warning of rising gas levels to enable immediate preventative action.
Repeater panels allow for location of display screens and alarm units at the bridge, cargo control room or any other manned space.
